Charged with accessory after the fact in connection with fatal motorcycle accident in Gulfport
On September 20, 2022, the Gulfport Police Department arrested 39-year-old Stanley Wayne Asher and charged him with Accessory After the Fact.
On September 19, 2022, the Gulfport Police Department arrested 46-year-old Dixie Tanner Sharp and charged her with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death.
On September 18, 2022, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Gulfport Police Department responded to the intersection of Highway 90 and 20th Avenue, in reference to an accident with injuries.
Upon arrival, Officers made contact with an unoccupied white Lexus and then observed pieces of a motorcycle scattered in multiple directions.
Witnesses observed Sharp and Asher walking away from the Lexus after the accident occurred. The driver of the motorcycle, Carlos Del La Cruz, succumbed to his injuries on scene.
After being processed, Sharp was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center to be held in lieu of her $100,000 bond.
After being processed, Asher was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center to be held in lieu of his $50,000 bond.
