Changes to Jackson County School District dress code

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Jackson County School District announced they will no longer require uniforms, starting with the upcoming school year.

The school district says a new dress code has been established to promote student success and minimize disruptions to the classroom.

Officials said the clothing and appearance of students should not create a safety hazard, promote illegal behavior, or convey obscene messages.
