Changes to Harrison County School District meal program
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Harrison County School District is expanding its free summer meal program for kids and families.
The program begins June 1.
Along with traditional cafeteria service and the district’s mobile dining trailer, school district leaders are adding a new seven-day bulk meal pick up option this year.
The meal kits will include a full week’s worth of breakfasts and lunches in one box for families on the go or those looking to stretch grocery budgets further.
Any child can receive free meals at participating sites, regardless of where they attend school.
