Chandeleur Island Brewing King Cake Ale is back

The Chandeleur King Cake Ale is back this Friday, but this year they are doing things a bit bigger.

They will release the beer in cans this weekend. The sweet beer started as a collaboration with Le Bakery helping combine their king cakes with Chandeleur Island Brewing Company’s golden ale.

Chandeleur Island Brewing Company Sales Manager Gina Prater says they have finally found the recipe to give the ale the perfect king cake flavor and also be able to can it. “So, this year, we have created a recipe. So, there isn’t any sugar in it, but you have got the taste profiles that include cinnamon and sweet dough and vanilla and citrus and all of those are profiles in the Le Bakery king cakes.”

Customers will be able to get their hands on the king cake ale at noon on Friday.
