Chancery Court District 8, Place 3

It’s a tight race for Chancery Court district 8, place 3 with Margaret Alfonso and incumbent Sandy Steckler staying neck-and-neck as the final votes are currently being counted, including all affidavit ballots.

In Harrison County, districts 2, 3, and 5 have finished counting their affidavit ballots. Alfonso garnered 24,047 votes while Steckler had a total of 21,100 votes. That means Alfonso picked up 62 votes and Steckler picked up 42 votes.

We are still waiting for districts 1 and 4 to be counted. In Stone County, district 8, place 3, Steckler picked up seven votes and Alfonso picked up eight.
