Champions 4 Charities Check Presentation
The 2017 Conference USA Baseball Tournament attracted thousands of people to the Coast, but it also raised thousands of dollars for local charities.
A portion of over 21,000 tickets sold from the tournament allowed Overtime Sports to donate more than $18,000 to nonprofit organizations.
Owner of Overtime Sports Tim Bennett presented checks to members of each charity during a ceremony at the Biloxi Visitors Center this afternoon. “The economic impact was quite significant from that event. We expect that it will be just as significant next year. So just as important as the Shuckers being there which is the reason the stadium was built, it’s very much important for us to have these other events in the ballpark.”
Salvation Army, Warriors for Willow, and the Boys and Girls Club were just a few of the charities that received a donation.
