Chamber breakfast with Biloxi Mayor FoFo Gilich

The Mississippi Coast Chamber of Commerce hosted its last Breakfast with the Mayor this morning at IP Casino Resort Spa.

Biloxi Mayor Andrew ‘FoFo’ Gilich gave the breakfast address and spoke on a variety of topics including an update on the city’s government, infrastructure, and tourism.

Mayor Gilich touched on the growth of downtown with the big names at Ground Zero Blues Club, the Barq’s building renovation, and progress on the Saenger Theatre renovation.

He talked about the AJ Holloway Sports Complex improvements and pickleball complex as well as ongoing repairs at Beauvoir Road and Point Cadet Plaza.

Mayor Gilich also highlighted plans for the Popps Ferry Road extension. “Of course, then the extension of Popps Ferry Road across Pass Road to the railroad tracks to just west of the Coliseum. So, that’s gonna be another car way to get from Highway 90 all the way across Popps Ferry Bridge.”

Mayor Gilich says he is thankful for all the progress the city is making and is ready to tackle more projects heading into the new year.
