Certain waters for commercial and recreational shrimping to open, re-establish shrimping line
The Department of Marine Resources is opening a new area for shrimping starting October 7th.
The area is in the Biloxi Bay Channel and south to Deer Island. The season is from 6 a.m. October 7th to midnight December 31st.
Waters south of intracoastal waterway and west of the Gulfport Ship Channel will close at midnight April 30th of next year.
