Center Stage Biloxi showing ‘Dracula’ stage play

If you are looking for something spooky this season, head over to Center Stage Biloxi as they present the classic ‘Dracula.’

‘Dracula’ was originally written by Bram Stroker in 1897. In the original book, a young lawyer escapes a castle after discovering that Dracula is a vampire and the count moves to England and plagues the seaside town of Whitby. A small group, led by Professor Van Helsing, hunts Dracula.

The play features fabulous Gothic sets by a Disney and Universal production designer.

The granddaddy of all vampire tales promises to have audiences gasping with terror and delight. Actor Anthony Kalberg said, “It’s an interesting play in that everybody knows the story of Dracula and we are fortunate that our director, Chuck White, has sort of taken it and modernized it.”

Actor Ryan Reinike said, “We add some changes in and little bits of story that make it more exciting for the audience. So, if they think they know Dracula, they might get a different lesson seeing this.”

Tickets can be purchased at centerstagebiloxi.org. Prices range from $16.50 to $19.50.
