Center for Nonviolence opens resource center in Biloxi

The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence is expanding its services.

The nonprofit cut the ribbon on a new facility on Porter Avenue in Biloxi on Tuesday.

This new resource center will serve as a walk-in location for people seeking help — or who need immediate resources.

It will also be a training center for volunteers.

“It’s going to be a one-stop shop,” said CEO Stacey Riley. “It’s going to be a program where people can walk in and get help immediately. So if someone comes in here and just needs to talk to someone or just needs to get services for whatever it is, we will bring the services to them instead of having to locate the services out in the community.”

The mission of the Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence is to support and serve victims of domestic violence.
