Cell phone policy enforced at Pass Christian High School

It’s no surprise that Gen Z is often referred to as the digital generation. but with technology at their fingertips, it can sometimes lead to distractions in the classroom.

Pass Christian High School is taking steps to improve student performance by addressing this challenge by enforcing a “no cell phones” policy.

Although this policy isn’t entirely new, it ensures that teachers and staff are now aligned on how to regulate cell phone usage.

According to the policy, students are allowed to use their cell phones before classes start in the morning and during lunch. Students enrolled in a video production class can use their devices to participate in the class curriculum.

Aria Grady, student council president at Pass Christian High School, shared her thoughts on how the policy will impact her fellow classmates.

Pass Christian is not alone in adopting a cell phone policy. Other districts, such as Gulfport, Biloxi, and Ocean Springs, have implemented similar measures.
