Celebrating Cinco de Mayo
It’s a fiesta at El Agave Mexican Restaurant in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.
A day that celebrates more than tacos and tequila, Cinco de Mayo honors Mexico’s unexpected victory over France on May 5th, 1862.
Here in the U.S., the holiday is a chance for Americans to indulge in Mexican culture.
At El Agave’s on Highway 49, locals stopped by for drink and food specials, taking the time to come together for a fiesta. El Agave owner Mercedes Carranza said, “The best way that we can be ambassadors for our country and our culture is to be friendly and serve our community. It’s really a good business day, we get to see all of our friends come in and new customers. It’s a great day for partying, to try Mexican food, and for us to show what we have, not only with our food, but with our culture.”
On Cinco de Mayo, El Agave releases their newest summer drinks for customers to try.
