Catholic Schools Week Celebration
Students at one area school have been celebrating their education all week through fun and reflection.
This week marks ‘Catholic Schools Week’ across the country and students and staff at St. Patrick Catholic High School have recognized that week with events such as a teachers and students volleyball game along with class discussions.
Today the student body held a worship service complete with educational skits, music, and prayer for students to reflect on what Catholic education means to them.
St. Patrick High Principal Dr. Matt Buckley says the week is centered on how Catholic schools help students grow in their faith and studies. “Catholic schools do that nationwide and provide excellent experiences for students, not only from an academic standpoint, but also to be disciples and go out and make a difference in the world.”
Catholic Schools Week continues at St. Patrick tomorrow with mass and then more fun activities on Friday.
