Catholic Diocese mourns Mr. Mo: the innkeeper was killed in Wednesday’s shooting spree
A community mourns after five are dead from yesterday’s shooting spree, but the families of those victims will always be marred by the tragedy.
The Catholic Diocese School System is a second home to the children of Mohammad Moeini, who was murdered Wednesday at the hotel he owns.
Residents of the Broadway Inn Express in Biloxi say Mo was a good man who cherished his family and his business.
Dr. Matt Buckley, the principal at St. Patrick, has stayed in touch with Mo’s family as they grieve. Here’s what he had to tell us. “So, this morning in a very special way we celebrated mass for the Moeini family. And for such a difficult time for them — but we are here to offer strength and comfort and lift up our prayers for that family. There are no easy answers right now, but we just want to be strong in our faith and offer that, and be grounded in the gifts and the graces that God has given each of us.”
Moeini has one child who attends St. Patrick High School.
