Catching up with Ocean Springs School District new superintendent

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- The Ocean Springs School District has a new superintendent. The board of trustees named Justin Sutton as the school district’s next leader.

Sutton is a veteran educator here on the Coast. Prior to taking on his current role as assistant superintendent for the Ocean Springs School District last July, he served as principal of Long Beach High School and also assistant principal of Ocean Springs High School.

Sutton will have his chance to leave a mark on the school district, especially as many of the district’s schools undergo renovations and reorganizations as part of the bond upgrades passed nearly a year ago.

Sutton will officially take over for retiring Superintendent Michael Lindsey on July 1.
