Catch up with Michael Simeon

Michael Simeon punched his ticket for the ride of a lifetime in Nashville, and after his famous slow dance with Jennifer Lopez, every day was a chance to live his dream until America decided his ride was over. Yet, he says the experience changed him.
“I got to see the ins and outs of the music industry. I got to see the way things are set up and the way production works, and I think that is going to be valuable information for the future of my career,” said Simeon.
Today, Simeon is back in his hometown of Lumberton, but hasn’t let his dream fade. In fact, the national exposure has helped kick start his grassroots effort to return to the studio or the stage.
While his Idol run may be over, Michael Simeon’s back home and still doing what he loves, making music in South Mississippi.
Simeon will be performing in a concert Friday night at 6:00pm at the Purvis high School Auditorium as a homecoming concert. The concert is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The proceeds will be used to get Michael back to L.A., where he will get back on the ride to pursue his dream.
“All you can do is be better than you, and if you can do that, I think you’ll always be able to achieve your dreams".
