Casino Revenue at an All-Time High

Commercial casinos across the board in the U.S. have scored big with revenues reaching an all-time high, this according to the American Gaming Association’s annual State of the States report.

In 2018, gaming revenues were over the top, reaching $41.7 billion. That’s good news for the cities and states that have a stake in these revenues, with the industry generating $9.7 billion in gaming taxes for state and local governments.

Half of the 24 states with commercial casinos reported record annual gaming revenue with nearly every state seeing gains in 2018.
