CASA of South Mississippi swears in 12 new child advocates
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- CASA of South Mississippi is welcoming new volunteers to its team.
Twelve court appointed special advocates were sworn in during a ceremony at the Knight Nonprofit Center in Gulfport.
These volunteers have successfully completed 30 hours of training and court observation and will now advocate for children in foster care.
CASA says these individuals are the eyes and ears of the court, ensuring a child’s full story is heard when life changing decisions are made.
