CASA holds Grateful for You Banquet in Jackson County

CASA shows their appreciation to their volunteers who make a difference in children’s lives.

Guest speakers Senator Brice Wiggins and Judge Sharon Sigalas recognized the impact volunteers make to the organization and the positive impact made in children’s lives.

The annual event has been canceled for the last two years due to the pandemic. The night ended with the Light of Hope ceremony, remembering children lost and those who have survived the nightmare of abuse. CASA Secretary Samantha Bignell said, “The work that they do is very trying and very difficult. They deal with a lot of stuff most people don’t know goes on in the community and just having them together and having them around other people that just understand what they go through, it helps a lot with the morale and the ability to volunteer.”

Heritage Funeral Home and VT Halter Marine helped sponsor this event.
