Cardboard recycling event is Saturday; Christmas tree recycling ends Monday

A reminder that Saturday is the cardboard recycling event in Harrison County.

Residents can drop off their holiday boxes and cardboard to be recycled.

The event runs 8 a.m. to Noon on Saturday only.

There are five locations for the drop-offs:

  • D’Iberville Civic Center at 10395 Auto Mall Parkway
  • Harrison County Work Center at 10076 Lorraine Road in Gulfport
  • Long Beach Harbor
  • Edgewater Mall Parking Lot, 2600 Beach Boulevard in Biloxi
  • West Harrison County Storm Shelter at 15038 County Farm Road

The event is sponsored by the Harrison County Beautification , Harrison County Supervisors, Pelican Waste & Debris, Waste Management and the Harrison County Utility Authority.

And don’t forget, Monday is the last day to recycle your live Christmas trees.

Trees can be dropped off  at:

  • Mississippi Power’s Plant Watson on Cowan-Lorraine Road
  • Rodenberg Avenue Highway 90 parking bay
  • Courthouse Road Pier in Gulfport
  • Long Beach Harbor
  • Pass Christian Harbor
