Car Accidents on Highway 49

Multiple accidents shut down Highway 49 northbound lanes in Gulfport this afternoon.
Traffic heading northbound at 49 and O’Neal is being diverted due to a three car accident. Traffic heading north on Highway 49 near Ashley Drive is down to one lane.
Gulfport Police Department report there are injuries to those involved, none being life-threatening. We will have more details on the car accidents as they become available.
Southbound on 49 is open.
