Capital murder trial in Jackson County

Today in Jackson County, the jury was selected for the trial of the Hurley man accused of capital murder in 2014 in Pascagoula.
Scotty Street appeared in court three years ago in the capital murder death of 55-year-old Hurley resident Frankie Fairley. Police say 36-year-old Street was Fairley’s neighbor and that he stabbed her to death and stole her van. Investigators had a second suspect in jail, but he was cleared of any involvement.
The trial is set to begin tomorrow morning. WXXV will have a reporter in the courtroom and will continue to follow this trial.
