Campus police breaks up crowd at Ocean Springs High School
Things got heated after the Ocean Springs-Pascagoula varsity boys basketball game last night.
Ocean Springs School District Spokesman Trey Brennan tells News 25 kids were trash talking in the parking lot after the 65-49 Pascagoula win and things started to escalate.
“It wasn’t a fight,” Brennan said. “But it could have been if it hadn’t been broken up.”
That’s when campus police, teachers, and coaches intervened and sent everyone home.
Brennan said to his knowledge no punches were thrown and despite rumors on social media, no weapons were found.
Campus police is still investigating the incident to see who was involved and whether school discipline is necessary.
