On-campus housing for USM Gulf Park?

Could student housing be coming to USM’s Gulf Park campus in Long Beach?
A discussion tonight surrounding the findings of a feasibility study done by the university is giving officials from USM a clearer idea of the pros and cons of establishing on-campus housing for students.
The study considers many factors like possible financial partnerships, safety concerns, the need for dining services, the impact on class sizes, parking and where to put it all. USM Gulf Park Vice President Dr. Steve Miller said, “As you can imagine, with just over 50 acres and a lot of things going on, we have very limited opportunities space wise, but we will be looking at the northwest quadrant of campus above the science building and below the railroad track, we have a pretty good space right there that would accommodate such a facility.”
The purpose of the meeting was to gather additional information as the university decides if on-campus housing is right for their institution.
