Campers celebrate Read Across America Week at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center
Today is the last day of Read Across America Week and here in South Mississippi, many groups that cater to children are celebrating by opening a book!
Since Sunday, there has been a Dr. Seuss themed story time at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, followed by an arts and crafts session based on the books read this week.
Today, children and their parents gathered for a reading of ‘The Lorax.’ Lynn Meadows Museum Manager Haylie Penton read to the kids today.
Read Across America Week is a larger celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. The acclaimed children’s author was born on March 2nd, 1904.
