Cameron May trial begins

‘I just remember thinking I was going to die’ those words spoken in court this morning by the Ocean Springs apartment worker who was allegedly raped and assaulted.
As the trial for Biloxi resident Cameron May started, more evidence in the case is being brought to light in the courtroom. A police officer’s body cam footage from the night of the attack showed the brutal injuries the victim sustained from the suspect, including a broken jaw, after he allegedly raped her in the Dominion Apartment’s office in September 2015.
May’s defense attorney said May heard voices telling him to “commit an evil act” and that mental issues might have been a factor leading up to the incident.
May is facing charges of kidnapping, sexual battery, and aggravated assault.
