Cameron May Trial

The trial for Cameron May, the man accused of sexually assaulting and severely beating an Ocean Springs apartment worker, continues today.
Today the defense is making its arguments. This morning, May’s attorney asked the judge to drop one of the aggravated assault charges and the kidnapping charge. That request was denied.
After May took the stand recounting how demonic voices told him to “commit an evil act,” but he denied sexually assaulting the victim.
May is facing charges of kidnapping, sexual battery and aggravated assault.
Prosecutors say he visited the Dominion Apartments in September 2015, came back a few hours later and sexually assaulted and severely beat a worker at the complex.
News 25 has a reporter in the courtroom and will have a full report on this second day of trial tonight.
