Calendar of Coast cuties and animals helps Jackson County
Local studs are teaming up to help the Jackson County Animal Shelter for a project that’s almost too cute to handle.
In efforts to raise money for the Jackson County Animal Shelter, volunteers recruited a mixture of handsome guys from our Coast to be featured in their 2017 calendar. Some of the local men of the month: firefighters, a personal trainer, a doctor, a body builder, and a couple of male models.
A couple of the guys were back at the shelter this afternoon with the animals. Bodybuilder Loren King said, “Not everybody is able to support an animal in house, as far as taking care of them and feeding them and what not. If they buy this calendar than that’s money that goes toward caring for all of these animals.”
Personal trainer Rashad Roper said, “These animals still have feelings. These animals still feel neglected. So putting them in a better home, just doing something positive really makes me feel good about the situation.”
The Jackson County Animal Shelter has plenty of calendars left. You can purchase them through the shelter’s Facebook page by making a donation of $10.
