C-USA Tournament begins play on Wednesday

The Conference USA Baseball Tournament begins Wednesday morning at MGM Park in Biloxi.
If you’re looking for a hometown favorite in this week’s Conference USA baseball championship look no further than the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
USM has won its fourth outright regular season Conference USA title and the 15th ranked Golden Eagles will be the number one seed in the tournament.
Southern Miss won nine of 10 conference series and finished with a 25-5 record in league play, matching the league record for victories in a season. The Golden Eagles 14 game winning streak is the longest in school history and the longest current streak in the nation.
The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday when Rice plays Florida Atlantic.
