C-USA rolls out interactive schedule for men’s basketball
Following the 2014 Conference USA men’s basketball tournament, Southern Miss became the first school in the history of March Madness to be left out of the big dance with 25 wins or more and an RPI better than 32.
But those days of being a one-bid league could be over with the league rolling out a new-look schedule starting this season. Today, C-USA officials announced an interactive conference slate in which teams will be seeded following the first 14 league games.
The top five teams will then play each other in the final four games of the conference schedule in hopes of landing more teams in the NCAA Tournament and getting them seeded higher based on the old iron sharpens iron adage.
