Butch Oustalet Foundation helping spread awareness for dyslexia
After serving the community for 54 years selling cars and trucks, this former car dealer is ready to make even more of an impact here in South Mississippi.
Butch Oustalet may be retired from selling vehicles, but now, he is excited more than ever to change lives through the Butch Oustalet Foundation.
The foundation’s goal is to provide students with scholarships while helping other organizations and non-profits across South Mississippi.
The Butch Oustalet Foundation has been working closely with the Home of Grace and the Lighthouse Academy for Dyslexia. Oustalet said, “In retirement, I wish to devote my time with Laura to help people. I was selling cars and trucks for 54 years. Now, I’m working on God’s team.”
Butch Oustalet Foundation Executive Director Laura Lacoste said, “So, he wants to continue to support a lot of things he’s always supported and that he feels strongly about and that’s education along the Gulf Coast, helping under-served children, special needs children, and Home of Grace. Those are some of the big ones. The Lighthouse Academy for Dyslexia, he’s going to be sponsoring a room in their new building.”
Butch Oustalet says he doesn’t want to be remembered as a great car dealer, but rather as a great man.
