Businesses React To New Law

The new Religious Accommodations Act is meant to protect the religious beliefs of private businesses, but some coast businesses are speaking out against the new law.

Before the act was even signed into law, Irish Coast Pub took to their Facebook page to tell customers they’re “Open for business to anyone who wants to come here. Period.”

Cheeky Monkey Cake Company owner Jennifer Noble has also chosen to speak out in opposition of the law.

She tells News 25, while the law was created to protect businesses like her, she says she never asked to be protected and her reasoning for speaking out was simple.
