Business Inspired By Chronic Illness
A mother and daughter who are both chronically ill are using their health conditions to launch a business.
Biloxi residents Michelle Hilbrant and her mother are working to help others battling illness.
The idea of the comfort bag…a bag containing items to help someone sick feel better, stems from Michelle’s childhood.
She tells News 25 her mother came up with the idea to bring Michelle some relief when she was sick.
Now in her forties, Michelle and her mother are making comfort bags to lift the spirits of others in similar situations.
“We want to tell them we’re there for them, we understand because we’re coming to them from a place in our lives that is not a good place and we know what it’s like.”
– Michelle Hilbrant Entrepreneur
The items in the bag range from anything like soothing lotion. To socks.
