Business development and entrepreneurship workshop

This morning, entrepreneurs and hopeful small business owners gathered together at the D’Iberville Community Club for a free business development and entrepreneurship workshop.

The workshop included information on resources available to help small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs assess their abilities to lead and manage a company. People in attendance also had the chance to learn about market potential, start-up costs, financing opportunities, and business planning.

D’Iberville City Councilman Randall Pelous tells News 25 they hope to cultivate more small businesses in the downtown area. “We are looking to get development started down on the waterfront. That’s a big push for us and if we can do that it’s going to be number one in our book, you know, to develop that down there and bringing new business down there, restaurants, a walking community.”
