Burglary Suspect Racks Up Charges
A man suspected of breaking into storage facilities in Biloxi yesterday is now facing a series of charges after police found him in a car stolen from a local dealership.
Twenty-nine year old Shane Shelby Jr. is accused of breaking into several units at Stor-By-U, a storage facility located on Woolmarket Road. Police found Shelby about 1 o’clock this morning. He was driving a stolen vehicle from Mandal GMC Dealership in D’iberville. Shelby is charged with two counts of burglary and one count of felony receiving stolen property.
Jackie Rhodes with Biloxi PD said, “The investigation still remains open. We’re still asking anyone that might have any further information, about either the burglaries at the storage facility or the stolen vehicle, to either call the Biloxi Police department, the D’iberville Police department, if it concerns the stolen vehicle, or Crime Stoppers.”
Shane Shelby Jr.’s bond has been set at $250,000.
