Bubba Wallace makes racing history

History on the fast track, Nascar driver Bubba Wallace earned his first cup series victory after Nascar called the Yellawood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway early due to rain.

Wallace is the first black driver to win a race in Nascar’s top flight since Wendell Scott on December 1st, 1963.

A lightning storm halted the race, which had already been postponed a day due to rain after 117 laps.

Attempts to dry the track failed, so Nascar called the race since it was already past the halfway point.
