Bronze designation awarded to Port Bienville Industrial Park

CSX Railroad announced the Port Bienville Industrial Park received a Bronze Designation, being the only site selected in Mississippi.

CSX gathered information about 60 different communities to identify possible locations for the site selection program.

The goal of the program is to connect expanding companies with rail-service to increase commerce and logistics.

Blaine LaFontaine, the CEO of Hancock Port and Harbor Commission, said the investment was made possible by a grant award of $250,000.

He also said the port and harbor commission will continue to develop the site for industrial recruitment in the upcoming year with GOMESA funding.
