Brewery Celebrates 10 Years with a New Brew, and You’re Invited

Mississippi’s oldest brewery, Lazy Magnolia, announced they will be hosting their ten year anniversary celebration on their First Friday event held March 6th from 5 to 8 p.m. Lazy Magnolia hosts an event every First Friday of the month however this event will be larger than usual for the anniversary. Popular Coast musicians “The Rochelle Harper Band” will provide entertainment. Cajun Gourmet Catering, which has over 50 years of restaurant and cooking experience, will prepare the menu for the event.

Tickets for the event are $15 at the door and include a specialty pint glass and beer samples. There will also be three cask beers available for this night only. Tickets may also be pre-purchased online through the Lazy Magnolia website at http://lazymagnolia.com.

Every First Friday, Lazy Magnolia supports a charity through a portion of entry sales. The 10-year anniversary will benefit Mississippi Public Broadcasting, which provides educational and instructional professional growth and public service programs for the students and citizens of Mississippi.

A highlight of the evening is the debut of the Lazy Magnolia 10th Anniversary Ale named simply “10”. The ale’s flavor characteristics are a soft and sweet maltiness with a nutty caramel aroma. It’s part of the Debutante series, blending inspiration from Southern Pecan and the delectable Trappist Ales of Belgium.
