Brewery Bill On The Move
A Bill allowing craft breweries across the state to sell their brew straight from their Brewhouse is one step closer to becoming law.
House Bill 13-22 has now passed the senate and is only steps away from arriving to the desk of Governor Phil Bryant.
If passed breweries could legally sell up to two cases of twelve ounce bottles to a customer with in a 24-hour period.
Right now, breweries can only offer samples to visitors that pay to take a tour of the brewery.
Current laws limit businesses like Lazy Magnolia and Chandeleur brewing to only being able to sell their beer to distributors who then sell the beer to retailers.
