Brett Favre Named a Finalist for Pro Football Hall of Fame

In his first year of eligibility, Coast native Brett Favre was named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Favre, who played high school football at Hancock High School and continued his play at the University of Southern Mississippi, was drafted by the Falcons in the second round. He was traded to the Green Bay Packers a year later, where he went on to win a Super Bowl, hoist 3 MVP trophies and set many NFL quarterback records. The gunslinger had his iconic No. 4 retired this season by the Green Bay Packers and will look to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer.
