Breakfast With The Mayor Pass Christian

Pass Christian Mayor Chipper McDermott addressed a small crowd this morning over coffee and eggs during breakfast with the mayor.

Mayor McDermott talked about the hotel growth in the city..with the hotel whiskey up and running…plus hotel Pass Christian which he said is booked for may third.
Mayor McDermott spoke highly of the city’s drainage improvements and the fact that every single road is paved in the pass.
Mayor McDermott is running for reelection unopposed…but he tells News 25 it is “not” an easy job.

“Since the hurricane everybody is rebuilding back so we’ll always be…we’ll always be competitive…always be a challenge to get something somebody else is trying to get…so they’re not easy jobs. They used to be fun years ago…but the fun went out the window a long time ago.”

Mayor McDermott also talked about the new harbor which he says will open to the public in a week or so.
Breakfast with the mayor is hosted by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce.
