BREAKFAST WITH BILOXI MAYOR ‘FO FO’ GILICH
This morning at the IP casino Biloxi Mayor Fo Fo Gilich hosted the first breakfast with the mayor of 20-18. Mayor Gilich updated citizens about the handful of projects the city’s working on… Including the efforts to create a new gateway entrance into Keesler at Division street, a new business at the Woolmarket I-10 exit, and Howard avenue revitalization. One new project mayor Gilich unveiled was the sketches of the new point cadet waterfront enterprise. It’s a 76 million dollar project aimed to produce a set of family attractions and enhance fishing and recreation.
Gilich says, ‘so we are trying to gather forces and get a facility that all can use as well as we hope another million visitors per year and its pretty impressive facility 200,000 square feet of retail space as well as just to enjoy the things that can be happening in that harbor and the excitement of what can happen at point cadet.”
The point cadet waterfront enterprise is projected to produce 1,000 new jobs and have space for a festival marketplace for retail and restaurants.
