Breakfast with Biloxi Mayor Andrew ‘FoFo’ Gilich

The Biloxi Chamber of Commerce resumed the annual Breakfast with the Mayor after last year’s cancelation due to COVID-19.

At the IP Casino, Mayor Andrew ‘FoFo’ Gilich updated city organizers, law enforcement, and leaders on the progress, restoration, and construction happening in the city.

After the devastation of COVID-19 and unexpected damage caused by Hurricane Zeta, Mayor Gilich is making decisions to protect and keep the people of Biloxi safe including adding heavier sand to Biloxi beaches to avoid sand coming onto Highway 90.

Mayor Gilich mentioned updates on Biloxi’s major streets and drainage, infrastructure, and public improvement projects. “When the unexpected hits, you have to have the ability to understand what you’re facing and then develop plans in order to respond and we have. I’m so proud of all our departments and department heads and their ability to address the unexpected and I think we were successful. I’m really happy to be back in the groove here.”

Mayor Gilich looks forward to working with other mayors in cities nearby.
