BP Fund Allocation Bill Dies

A senate bill aimed at creating a special fund for BP money died Tuesday, after it failed to make it out of the house appropriations committee.
Members of the House of Representatives coast delegation called it an empty bill saying it does nothing to ensure the coast will benefit from the funds.
This means no action regarding the long term use of BP funds will be made this legislative session.
Settlement money already collected is being held in an account with the department of finance and administration.
