Boys and Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast receives grant
The Boys and Girls Club of the Gulf Coast received a huge grant today.
The $25,000 grant will help the club do more in the community. Almost 7,000 kids benefit from the club’s services in Harrison and Hancock Counties.
The club’s Senior Director of Resources, Wayne Buchanan, telling us one specific program will see a big boost from this grant money. “It provides opportunities like the TLC Initiative, which is Teach, Learn, Create. What it is providing for our high school members is to be engaged and work together as a team for the initiative they believe in. We want to create opportunities like TLC through the partnerships with Boys and Girls Club of America and Family Dollar to have their voices heard.”
The Boys and Girls Club created an initiative focusing on bullying and the negative impacts it has on youths.
