Boys and Girls Club of the Gulf Coast hosts Summer Robotics Program

The Boys and Girls Club of the Gulf Coast provided an opportunity for children to explore the fascinating world of robotics.

The organization partnered with ‘Nuts, Bolts, and Thingamajigs’ to provide a week-long hands-on experience for participants.

The program aims to introduce students to the field of manufacturing through hands-on projects, made in real shop facilities and basic entrepreneurial concepts and skills.

Deon Taylor, a future engineer, tells News 25 bringing individual skills to the team makes it a fun experience. “It’s very interesting because we’re all opposites. So, we have to figure it out together and learn how to do it together, but it’s really fun in the end. We all figured out our own thing, but we put it into one thing.”

The Boys and Girls Club of the Gulf Coast hopes to continue exposing kids to practice communication, collaboration, and time-management skills in a fun way.
