Boy invites kindergarten class to his adoption hearing

One moment in a Michigan courtroom is melting hearts across the country.

A young boy named Michael was officially adopted by his foster parents on Thursday. Michael was so excited to join his new family; he invited his entire kindergarten class to his adoption hearing.

The Kent County courtroom was filled with Michael’s pint-sized guests with many waving cut-out hearts to show their support for their classmate.

Michael’s dad, David, got emotional when reflecting on the special day. “No, this process has been amazing. We’ve been working with catholic charities and the workers there have just been amazing.

Michael said, “I love my daddy! I love my daddy so much.”

David said, “wow, i, this is just too much, this is just too much.”

Michael was one of 36 children in the area to find their forever homes this week.

Thursday marked the 23rd annual adoption day in Kent County.
