Book signing and discussion for the ‘Mississippi Football Book’

Two of the Magnolia State’s most prolific writers have come together to honor the legacy of Mississippi football.

New York Times Best Seller Neil White and Award-Winning Sportswriter Rick Cleveland were in Long Beach today at USM’s Gulf Park Campus discussing their book titled ‘The Mississippi Football Book.’

The book features the greatest college, junior college, high school, and professional teams, players, and coaches from Mississippi’s past and present.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute hosted the author presentation, giving the fans the opportunity to meet the authors and have their books autographed.

The co-authors say you’ll be surprised what facts are waiting to be discovered. “The proof is in the book that Mississippi is the number one football state in the country. It produces more football players per capita and more football hall of famers per capita than any state in the union.”

“I would venture to say that there are between, i haven’t counted, 700 and 800 players names listed, featured, as a part of this book.”

The Mississippi Football Book is available now for purchase for $45.
