Bomb squad finds no explosive devices on bus in Gulfport

Around noon, a double-Decker bus heading to Atlanta from New Orleans had a bomb threat.

A passenger called police after they heard another passenger talk about an explosive device.

Mississippi Highway Patrol picked up the bus at the 28th mile marker eastbound on I-10 and they were brought to First Baptist off Highway 605.

Biloxi Bomb Squad came out and had their dog sniff the bus and there was no bomb found.

Authorities are in the process of interviewing the person that reported the bomb.

Highway Patrol had the lead on the threat and they were supported by Biloxi Bomb Squad, Gulfport Police and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, and the FBI.

The bus was back on the road around 1:30.
