Boil water notice issued in area of Vick Road in Gulfport

(Gulfport, MS) – In response to a water main repair, the City of Gulfport has issued a ‘Boil Water Notice,’ affecting citizens and businesses in the surrounding areas of Vick Road, spanning north to School Road, and from Highway 49, spanning east to Walter Smith Road.

Additionally, this includes Walter Smith Road from Sub Ladner Road to the cul-de-sac, South Fork Drive and Texas Avenue from Vick Road to their cul-de-sacs, and Harrison Central High School.

Those who acquire their drinking water from this area are asked to boil water vigorously for one minute and let it cool before consuming.

The City of Gulfport Public Works Department will alert residents when the water meets the standards of the Safe Drinking Water Law.
